Saudi Arabian Student Association To Host ‘Arab Tent’ Event On HUB Lawn
The Saudi Arabian Student Association will celebrate heritage and culture at its Arab Tent event on the HUB Lawn today (Tuesday, October 18) from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
According to the organization’s Facebook page, Arab Tent 2016 was designed to “present the Arabic Culture and heritage to the PSU multicultural student community” and is open to the public.
The event will include booths from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and traditional dances and performances from Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and Sudan from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Arab Tent will also feature a live camel.
The Saudi Arabian Student Association has held other events for the public in the past, such as its first-ever talent show in 2010. The group’s mission statement says that it works to “make the Saudi student feel related and connected to the Penn State community,
