Penn State Loses Paris Palmer For The Season

Injuries continue to pile up for the Nittany Lions as yet another offensive lineman was lost for the season.

Senior offensive tackle Paris Palmer, who transferred in from Lackawanna Community College prior to the 2015 season, had been filling in for the injured Andrew Nelson at left tackle before going down in the first quarter against Indiana.

Palmer, who at 6-foot-7 stands as one of the team’s tallest players, had slowly begun to come into his own after getting his first start of the year against Ohio State. His loss means offensive guard Ryan Bates, who’s been one of the most consistent linemen for Penn State this year, will slide to left tackle while redshirt freshman Steven Gonzalez will remain in Bates guard spot. Chasz Wright will likely stay at right tackle, unless Franklin decides to pull the plug on true freshman Will Fries’ redshirt.
