UPDATED: Missing Penn State Student Found Safe

Update, 10:41 a.m. — State College Police said that it has made contact with Wei and that he is safe.

The State College Police Department released photos Thursday of a missing student, asking for help in locating him.

Yibo “Robert” Wei is a 21-year-old Penn State student who’s 6’1″ and 160 pounds. He was last seen on Friday, November 3.

“Wei made threats to harm himself and disappeared,” according to the media release from the police department.

The release says Wei does not have a vehicle, and his family lives in China. His current location remains unknown.

Anyone who may have information on Wei or his location should contact the State College Police Department at (814) 234-7150, by email, or by submitting an anonymous tip on the department’s website.
