Josh Gattis Joins Nick Saban’s Alabama Staff As Co-Offensive Coordinator And Wide Receivers Coach

Josh Gattis is joining Nick Saban’s coaching staff at Alabama as the co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach, according to Bruce Feldman. Gattis served as the passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach at Penn State for the past four years and was a part of James Franklin’s staff at Vanderbilt before he was hired by Penn State. Gattis will be joining an Alabama team that has made the last three National Championships and won two of them.

Gattis joins a list of Penn State coaches that already left this off season, including Joe Moorhead and Charles HuffRicky Rahne was promoted to offensive coordinator prior to the Fiesta Bowl, but Penn State will be entering next season with new coaches at each offensive position, except offensive line.

Coach Gattis coached a wide receiver group that was often considered one of the best groups in the nation. Daesean Hamilton became Penn State’s all-time leader in receptions under his coaching.
