Penn State’s College Republicans and College Democrats will debate health care Monday, January 29 in their first joint event of the semester. All are welcome to attend the debate, which begins at 8 p.m. in 158 Willard and will be moderated by UPUA’s Governmental Affairs Committee.

Debaters from each organization will discuss various issues under the broader health care umbrella, including the Affordable Care Act, Medicare and Medicaid, women’s health policies, and a number of other policy issues.

Things seem to have calmed down between College Reps and Dems since the 2016 presidential election, but the first debate of the new year is sure to incite a rousing back-and-forth amid tense talks of health care reform on Capitol Hill.

In addition to their debates, the groups will almost certainly be back in action throughout the semester and leading up to the Pennsylvania’s 2018 primaries in May.
