E-Fest East Highlights Innovation Through Competition

Penn State engineering students have an opportunity to showcase their innovation, invention, and creativity during E-Fest East on April 13-15.

The annual festival held by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers will take place at Penn State and is expected to draw roughly 800 students. It features two contests — a “Human Powered Vehicle Challenge” and a “Student Design Competition” — as well as a number of other competitions, speeches, and workshops.

A favorite among spectators and participants alike, the Human Powered Vehicle Challenge will feature 40 teams putting their aerodynamic “superbikes” through a course of real-life obstacles. As for the Student Design Competition, teams will use their technical and creative skills to build football-playing robots that will participate in a four-way contest.

The keynote speaker, Limbitless Solutions President Albert Manero, will address the crowd Saturday afternoon during lunch.

Tickets for the three-day event cost $100 before March 16, $125 prior to the start of E-Fest, and $150 during the event weekend. You can learn more or register for the E-FestĀ here.
