Trace McSorley Signs Rookie Contract With Baltimore Ravens

Trace McSorley is officially a Baltimore Raven after signing a four-year rookie deal with the team Saturday afternoon.

While the winningest quarterback in Penn State history is the fifth rookie to sign a contract with the Baltimore Ravens, he’s the first Penn State draftee to put pen to paper with a professional team in this year’s draft class.

The Ravens also announced McSorley will wear No. 7 for the team as his first rookie camp as an NFL quarterback began this week. He switched back to his old high school number since No. 9 is currently held by Ravens franchise kicker Justin Tucker.

The Baltimore Ravens selected McSorley in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft this past weekend. Baltimore’s coaches “fell in love” with McSorley after one of his pre-draft workouts and are excited by everything he brings to their team.

Now that he’s officially part of the team, McSorley will join a quarterback room consisting of Lamar Jackson and Robert Griffin III. While head coach John Harbaugh has talked about how McSorley could be used in a variety of ways including a role similar to Taysom Hill with the New Orleans Saints, only time will tell how the Penn State legend will fit in with the Ravens.
