Former Penn State football stars Saquon Barkley, Chris Godwin, and Allen Robinson each landed on NFL Network’s list of the top 100 players in the league this week.

Barkley is ranked at No. 31, Godwin at No. 38, and Robinson at No. 93. The list is annually voted on by the NFL’s players.

After being ranked No. 16 last year, Barkley checks it a bit lower this time around. The star running back totaled 1,003 rushing yards and eight touchdowns (six rushing, two receiving) during an injury-plagued season. He added 52 receptions for 438 yards in the passing game as well.

Barkley is the fifth-highest ranked running back on the list behind Christian McCaffrey, Derrick Henry, Ezekiel Elliott, and Dalvin Cook.

Godwin made his debut on the annual list following his breakout 2019 season. He hauled in 86 receptions for 1,333 yards and nine touchdowns en route to being invited to the first Pro Bowl of his career. The 2019 second-team All-Pro is the sixth-highest ranked wideout on the list.

He was called out on Twitter by Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen regarding the list. Allen said there is no way that “Chris Goodwin,” among others, is better than him. Godwin’s superior stats would say otherwise, though…

Robinson, on the other hand, is ranked surprisingly low despite having one of the best seasons of his career in 2019. His 98 receptions were the seventh-most in the NFL last season, while his 1,147 receiving yards and seven touchdowns both ranked in the top 20 among all pass-catchers.

This is Robinson’s second appearance on the list. In 2016, he landed at No. 31.

This is the first time since 2017 that Penn State has had multiple representatives on the list. Cameron Wake and Sean Lee were the two Nittany Lions ranked that year.
