Drake Bell’s Phryst Performances Rescheduled For April 2021

Drake Bell’s two upcoming performances at the Phyrst have been rescheduled from September 1 to April 7, 2021, due to the coroanvirus pandemic, his team announced Friday.

“Due to the still current situation with COVID-19 and the remaining restrictions on bars and restaurants in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, we have made the decision to once again postpone Drake Bell’s appearance at The Phyrst in State College,” Lack Love owner Drew Zimmerman said.

The former Nickelodeon star and singer-songwriter will still perform two shows at 10 p.m. and midnight, respectively, at the Beaver Ave. bar in April. Additionally, he’ll host a meet-and-greet at the Phyrst at approximately 8 p.m. that same night.

Anyone who previously purchased tickets to the performances or the meet-and-greet can still use them next spring. However, those who’d like a refund can request one using this form. Tickets can still be purchased online.

“We wish to extend an apology to anyone this has inconvenienced but as of this point the safety of the public is our number one priority,” Zimmerman added. “Thanks so much for the support and we hope to still see all of you in April.”

Bell’s performances were originally slated for last March. His team later moved the concerts to September 1, which was ultimately pushed back again.

Penn Staters probably remember Bell co-starring alongside Josh Peck in fan-favorite Nickelodeon sitcom “Drake and Josh” from 2004 to 2007. His original song “Found a Way” served as the show’s memorable theme song. He also made several guest appearances on “The Amanda Show.”

He’s produced three studio albums since turning his attention to music full time, most recently “Ready Steady Go!” in 2014. His previous records — “Telegraph” and “It’s Only Time” — were released in 2005 and 2006, respectively. Bell’s most recent release was the single “All Alone at the Disco,” which premiered in December.
