‘Project Unity’ Aims To Bring Penn State Community Together Through Art

Project Unity, a new university-wide, student-led art project, is aiming to unite the Penn State community through artwork while highlighting societal injustices.

Its mission, along with spreading awareness for relevant issues, is to show how communities can come together to produce art.

The project will feature artwork submitted by Penn State students, families, friends, and alumni in an online gallery, which will be updated as more artwork is submitted. All art forms, including paintings, drawings, photos, literature, are welcome for submission.

Participants can choose between three themes: “We Stand in Unity,” “Together We Walk,” and “The World Today.”

“We Stand in Unity” entails creating art that reflects an individual’s vision of unity, “Together We Walk” involves creating art surrounding racial and social injustice, and “The World Today” focuses on one’s perspective of current events in today’s world.

Interested participants can find more information on Project Unity’s website. You can also keep up on Project Unity’s Instagram and Twitter pages.
