The Monster Energy Up & Up Virtual Festival will host a Zoom pre-party on Saturday, October 10. This is the fourth semester that Penn State will compete in Up & Up.

The “Welcome Back” virtual festival will take place from October 9 to 11 and feature a $10,000 talent show along with performances from some of the most popular EDM artists of today, including Sullivan King, NGHTMRE, San Holo, Ghastly, Ekali, 3lau, and more.

Penn State’s pre-party will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, and feature student DJ performances, prizes, giveaways, and a special guest.

Up & Up Penn State President Madisen Mortensen has been working hard with team members Tommy Franch, Wesley Saunders, and Paul Trongone to promote the pre-party.

“Our stage is going to be different parts of Penn State, and it’s going to be a good surprise visual for everyone on Saturday,” Mortensen said.

As part of the festival, each college participating will also pair with a fundraiser of their choice. Up & Up Penn State chose to partner with the Jared Box Project, which puts care packages together for children in hospitals. The packages include small gifts, toys, cards, and games to help lift the spirits of the children.

Penn State students can register for the livestream to help support both Up & Up and the Jared Box Project.

Up & Up is the largest college-touring music festival and the first-ever nationwide college virtual festival.
