Michal Menet Named To 2020 Rimington Trophy Watch List
One of Penn State football’s most consistent pieces of its offensive line is getting national recognition. Redshirt senior center Michal Menet was named to the Rimington Trophy watch list Wednesday.
The Rimington Trophy is awarded each year to the best center in the county.

Menet, who hails from Birdsboro, Pennsylvania, has played at least 12 games for the Nittany Lions in each of the past three seasons. He was a team captain last year and selected as an All-Big Ten honorable mention by the coaches and media.
Menet would be the second Nittany Lion to win the award since its inception back in 2000. Current Tampa Bay Buccaneer A.Q Shipley won the award as a Nittany Lion back in 2008. Three of the last four winners of the award have come from the Big Ten. Wisconsin center Tyler Biadasz won the award in 2019.
Menet is expected to play big role within Penn State’s experienced offensive line group entering the 2020 season.
