Penn State football’s (0-2) week four trip to Nebraska (0-1) will kick off at noon on Saturday, November 14. The game will be broadcast on FS1.

The matchup with the Cornhuskers will be Penn State’s first noon kickoff of the season.

Both the Nittany Lions and the Cornhuskers have had rough starts to their 2020 campaigns. Penn State opened its season with a brutal overtime loss in overtime to then-unranked Indiana, while Nebraska was dominated by No. 3 Ohio State 52-17.

It was the Nittany Lions’ turn against the Buckeyes week two, and James Franklin’s squad fell 38-25 in its home opener. As for Nebraska, its week two contest against Wisconsin was cancelled due to a coronavirus outbreak among the Badgers, including several star players and head coach Paul Chryst.

Penn State and Nebraska last faced off in 2017 in Beaver Stadium. The Nittany Lions won a rare Big Ten shootout 56-44 and earned their ninth victory of the season. Trace McSorley led the way with 325 yards through the air and three scores, while Saquon Barkley rushed for 158 yards.

Before that Penn State victory, however, Nebraska won four consecutive games against the Nittany Lions. The Cornhuskers lead the series all-time with a 9-8 record.

Scott Frost’s squad will be the Nittany Lions’ first Big Ten West opponent of their 2020 campaign. Penn State will play Maryland at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, November 7 as it searches for its first victory of the year.
