Your Guide To Celebrating Election Day In State College

Election Day is finally upon us, folks. At this point, there’s no use arguing with your grandparents on Facebook or putting out another sign in your front yard. After several months of political polarization and heated discourse, it’s time to celebrate!

But before the fun can begin, check out our guide to the election to double-check your polling location and read up on who’s on your local ballot.

After you cast your vote at the Bryce Jordan Center or check the status of your mail-in-ballot, embrace your political colors and enjoy all things red and blue in State College.

Democrats (Blue)

Visit Your Friend At Blue Course Apartments

Take a nice long walk to the west side of campus and visit your rich friends living in on-campus luxury. Be sure to stay masked up and socially distanced, but you already know that!

Watch A Blue Band Livestream

It’s been a while since we’ve heard the sweet melody of the Blue Band in Beaver Stadium. Luckily, it posts virtual performances on Penn State Athletics and the Blue Band’s Facebook pages.

Enjoy A LionS’More Cone With Blue Sprinkles At The Creamery

There’s something about the blue marshmallow and blue sprinkle combination that hits different. In case things don’t go your way this election, purchase an extra pint to eat when the numbers are finalized to numb the pain.

Take A Ride On The Blue Loop

There’s no denying that the reinstatement of the Bloop was the best thing to happen to Penn State this semester. Celebrate your true-blue democratic roots and take a joyride on the Greatest CATA Bus Loop™ the university has to offer.

Hit The Links On The Blue Course

Release months of pent-up political anger by playing 18 holes of golf at the Blue Course. Call up your Biden Bros and hit the greens this afternoon.

Republicans (Red)

Donate Blood At The American Red Cross

Democrats can’t say Republicans have “blood on their hands” if you’re donating blood to save lives! As the blood pumps out of your arm, you’ll be reminded of how American your heart truly is.

Enjoy A Meal At Red Lobster

Back in May, a viral video of a Karen was mistaken for a Penn State employee. Because of this Twitter debacle, the university and the restaurant have a deep history. Relish that fever dream Penn State memory with some cheddar biscuits down at the Red Lobster on North Atherton.

Sip Red Wine At Mount Nittany Vineyard

You’re either a frat bro Republican or a sophisticated, classy college Republican. This celebration is for the latter. Stay far away from Beaver Canyon and enjoy the potential fall of our democracy from a distance. Besides, Election Day is the perfect reason to get red wine drunk.

Take A Ride On The Red Link

Today is the perfect day to leave your pick-up trucks and Trump flags at home! Hop on the Red Link and enjoy a change of scenery at…Innovation Park!
