Yetur Gross-Matos Wears Maryland Gear Following Penn State Loss
Former Penn State football star Yetur Gross-Matos found himself on the losing side of a bet Monday following the Nittany Lions’ crushing 35-19 loss to Maryland Saturday.
Gross-Matos’ Carolina Panthers teammate, Jermaine Carter Jr., posted a picture of him decked out in red, black, and yellow Monday, aptly captioned “We Aren’t!”
According to Carter’s Instagram story, the new gear had never been opened. So generous of him!
Carter, a linebacker, started 37 games for the Terrapins between 2015 and 2017, compiling 337 career tackles and 9.5 sacks. However, he found himself on the other end of a few losing contests to Penn State…so at least Gross-Matos has that going for him.
Gross-Matos and Carter haven’t had much to write home about with the 3-6 Panthers this season. Gross-Matos, a defensive end, has recorded four solo tackles, one sack, and a forced fumble so far, while Carter’s posted three tackles of his own.
