Penn Staters Go Berzerk Following Trace McSorley’s First NFL Touchdown

Penn State football fans have been waiting for this moment for a long time.

Trace McSorley entered Wednesday’s Steelers-Ravens game in the fourth quarter for an injured Robert Griffin III. Although he couldn’t quite complete the Baltimore comeback, the quarterback threw a touchdown and set Twitter on fire.

It didn’t take long for his name to for his name to rise in the “trending” page. Penn Staters and football fans alike came together to cheer on McSorley, who recently rose to internet stardom thanks to viral TikTok trends.

McSorley’s former teammates and coaches were among the most excited to see the quarterback enter the game.

Seemingly all of football Twitter was rooting for McSorley on Wednesday night, too.

Penn State and McSorley fans from near and far were beyond overjoyed.
