Penn State’s Student Programming Association (SPA) will host country music star and actor Billy Ray Cyrus for a virtual concert on Friday, December 11.

His performance will begin at 8 p.m. that night. SPA is working alongside WPSU Radio to stream the concert, which can be accessed by signing up through this link. Students will receive a link to the event after completing the signup form.

Cyrus has released 16 studio albums since his professional career began in 1992. He’s best known for hit song like “Achy Breaky Heart,” “It Could’ve Been Me,” and “Some Gave All.” His feature on Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road,” remained on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 19 straight weeks.

Cyrus is also known for his success as an actor, most notably for his role on “Hannah Montana,” which his daughter starred in. Cyrus has also appeared in shows such as “Doc” and “Still The King.”

Like every SPA event, Cyrus’ performance is free for Penn State students and funded by their student-initiated fee. Students will need to verify themselves using their WebAccess IDs before entering the virtual event.
