College Football Twitter Dunks On Penn State Graphic’s Fine Print

Internet pundits from near and far gladly took up the opportunity to dunk on Penn State football Friday when the team posted an…interesting…graphic highlighting the Nittany Lions’ Super Bowl prowess.

The tweet in question, posted late Thursday night, highlighted how a Penn Stater has appeared in EVERY SUPER BOWL…except for a few.

In fact, Nittany Lions missed out on five Super Bowls dating back to 1967 — the year the NFL’s championship game officially began. Coincidentally, three Penn Staters will take part in this weekend’s Super Bowl clash between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs, and at least one is guaranteed to bring home a ring.

Naturally, Twitter users dunked on the questionable graphic and made fun of the (intentionally?) misleading statistic.

Of course, some fans didn’t miss an opportunity to take a jab at Michigan and Jim Harbaugh. Remember, kids: No matter what, #MichiganSucks.
