People Draw THON 2021’s ‘Rise And Unify’ Logo From Memory

THON 2021’s logo is a very fun and unique design.

For those who don’t know, the logo is an airplane with a pilot waiving and a sign with the words “Rise and Unify” floating behind. Penn State student Kimi Mate, who designed it, chose to feature an airplane to symbolize THON’s goal of reaching new heights.

Obviously, it’s a nice looking design. But how well can people draw it from memory? Well we are about to find out.

So, this drawing isn’t awful. At least you can tell that it is an airplane! Those could be streamers that are flowing from the body of the plane, or it could be flying over a stream. I don’t know what’s really happening there.

Honestly, this isn’t an awful drawing. The plane is actually a plane, so that’s pretty good. The “Rise and Unify” banner is floating in the back, which is a step up from the last one. But there’s no pilot! Who’s flying the plane? They. need to address that as soon as possible.

This is very similar to the previous drawing, People need to realize that a plane cannot fly without a pilot! This is common sense, folks. The other issue is that there are no words on the banners. It’s not the real logo if it doesn’t say “Rise and Unify.”

This is far and away the best drawing we received. It is easily recognized as a plane, there are words on the banner on the back of the plane, and THERE’S ACTUALLY A PERSON FLYING THE PLANE! The only qualm I have is that there are no propellers on this plane. There needs to be some propellers!

These four submissions were at least good attempts at the logo. There were some that were just not even close.

A couple of these are actually really good designs, but just are not accurate at all. But hey, it’s a good try. We love to see all of these artists and people who should definitely stick to their day job.
