Penn State men’s hockey captain Alex Limoges is moving on from Hockey Valley after signing a professional tryout (PTO) with the San Diego Gulls, the AHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks.

The Winchester, Virginia native finished his senior season leading Penn State with 22 points and ten goals scored while being named an All-Big Ten selection for the second time in his career. In his last game as a Nittany Lion, Limoges overtook Liam Folkes for the all-time Big Ten Tournament scoring record with 17 career points in ten tournament games.

Limoges broke out during his sophomore season, leading the team with 23 goals and tied for the lead with 50 points in the NCAA. He followed his promising sophomore campaign with a 32-point season last year before being named captain.

The senior forward will graduate Penn State this spring as the all-time leader in points per game (0.98) for the Nittany Lions. His 51 goals are tied for the third most all-time in the program, and his 74 assists rank fourth all-time.
