Report: Memphis Grizzlies Sign Tim Frazier Through End Of Season

It looks like former Penn State men’s basketball guard Tim Frazier might be sticking around in the NBA, folks.

The Memphis Grizzlies have reportedly signed Frazier to a contract through the end of the 2020-21 season, according to ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski. The team previously inked the former Penn State guard to a 10-day contract earlier this month.

If it becomes official, this is now the third time Frazier has signed with the Grizzlies this season. His first contract came via a hardship exemption when Memphis point guard Ja Morant was sidelined.

Frazier hasn’t yet logged any minutes during his current 10-day contract, according to Basketball-Reference. He averaged 1.3 points per game over a three-game stretch in January.

Frazier is now with his seventh NBA team in as many seasons. He previously played with the Philadelphia 76ers, New Orleans Pelicans, and Detroit Pistons, among others.

Additionally, should he remain in the league, Frazier will join Lamar Stevens as the only Nittany Lions competing at the professional level. The Cleveland Cavaliers signed Stevens to a four-year, non-guaranteed contract earlier this month after impressing in his rookie season.
