Penn State Men’s Lacrosse Returns To USILA Coaches Poll At No. 19
After a strong weekend showing in Columbus, Penn State men’s lacrosse is once again ranked among the nation’s best.
The Nittany Lions came in at No. 19 in this week’s USILA coaches poll. Penn State is back in the top 20 after falling out of it following its 17-10 loss to No. 3 Maryland on April 3, during which it was also ranked No. 19.
Despite struggling this season with a 4-6 record, the Nittany Lions have still received national recognition. Penn State is currently riding a two-game win streak following an overtime win over Michigan two weeks ago and a thrilling 10-9 win over No. 15 Ohio State on Saturday.
Penn State will enter the Big Ten Tournament as the No. 3 seed and be favorites at home against the No. 4 Johns Hopkins Blue Jays. The two teams will meet up for a rubber match after a regular-season split between the two foes.
The first face-off of the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals is set for 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 1. The game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
