Boston College Midfielder Jillian Jennings Transfers To Penn State Women’s Soccer

After losing star midfielder Frankie Tagliaferri to Rutgers last week, Penn State women’s soccer has added some help through the transfer portal.

Boston College midfielder Jillian Jennings announced via Instagram Tuesday night that she is coming to Happy Valley after spending four years with the Eagles.

“Feeling incredibly grateful for my BC experience and all it’s taught me,” Jennings said. “It’s been an honor to represent this program for 4 years, and I feel so blessed for all of the lifelong friendships and memories with my teammates. With that being said I am so excited to finally announce this next chapter at Penn State!”

Jennings appeared in 72 games and was a reliable piece for the Eagles during her four-year tenure up in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. She started 62 games over that span, including every game from 2018 to 2021.

Overall, she totaled 12 points and 66 shots and logged 4,563 minutes with Boston College. Additionally, she served as a team captain for the squad during the 2020-21 season.

Jennings certainly isn’t the first Boston College player to make their way to Happy Valley. Current Penn State women’s soccer star Sam Coffey played her first two seasons of college ball with the Eagles before becoming a Nittany Lion.

Coffey and Jennings were teammates from 2017 to 2018, and they’ll now reunite for another season, this time with Erica Dambach’s squad at Penn State.
