Four-Star Defensive End Tyreese Fearbry Decommits From Penn State Football
Just a few weeks after verbally committing to the Nittany Lions, four-star defensive end Tyreese Fearbry is taking a step back.
The Class of 2022 prospect posted on Twitter Thursday afternoon and said he’s decommitting from Penn State “until further notice.”
Fearbry, a Pittsburgh native, initially chose Penn State over Pitt, Auburn, and Kentucky, among other schools. Notably, he tagged some Pitt staff members in his decommitment tweet, but who’s to say how significant that is.
Fearbry is currently tabbed as the No. 5 overall Class of 2022 prospect in Pennsylvania and the No. 12 edge rusher prospect in the nation. He checks in at 6’5″ and 225 pounds, according to 247 Sports.
Even without Fearbry, Penn State holds the No. 2 2022 recruiting class in the nation with 22 committed prospects. Four-star safety Cristian Driver was the latest to get in on the fun when he chose the Nittany Lions earlier on Thursday.
