Penn State To Host Education Abroad Fair Starting October 12

Interested in studying abroad soon? Global Penn State will host its annual Education Abroad Fair beginning Tuesday, October 12, through Thursday, October 14.

This year, Penn State is providing several options for each fair day. Two out of the three days will be presented through an online format and is open to all students.

Each day offers new discussions featuring Penn State Education Abroad and what students can expect within the program. Students who attend any portion of the fair will be entered to win a $500 scholarship toward a future education abroad experience.

Throughout the Zoom event, students can meet with fellow students who recently studied abroad to learn about applications, finances, and more. You can register here for the Zoom event.

The in-person event held at Alumni Hall will introduce Penn State faculty and staff to discuss different college and department offerings to go abroad. Plus, you’ll leave with a sweet Berkey Creamery treat. Registration’s not required for Wednesday’s in-person event.

The third and final day will be held on Brazen to “chat with representatives from universities abroad, faculty who lead programs, support resources, education abroad staff, among many others.” You can register for the Brazen event here.

To add, the education abroad program has added “Back to the World” scholarships. It is tied into the Back to the World Initiative that is “intended to increase global engagement among students across the commonwealth through enhanced funding and outreach.” You can visit this website to find out more about the offered contests, scholar programs, and more.
