Report: Penn State Football’s Tyler Rudolph Enters Transfer Portal

Penn State football defensive back Tyler Rudolph has reportedly entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to Rivals.

Rudolph, a four-star defensive back from Oakdale, Connecticut, was Penn State’s eighth-best recruit in the team’s 2019 class. 247Sports originally ranked him the third-best prospect from Connecticut in his class. He was originally recruited as a safety despite being currently listed as a cornerback.

Rudolph has played sparingly for Penn State this season, appearing in the season’s first four games and recording a season-high five tackles against Ball State. He played in five games in 2020 and just three in 2019.

Once he’s found a new destination (should he choose to leave), Rudolph should have up to three years of eligibility remaining.
