Penn State’s Dotson, Brisker, & Stout Earn AP All-American Honors
Three Penn State football standouts are officially All-Americans following an impressive regular season.
On Monday, the Associated Press published its list of All-America teams ahead of bowl season. Penn State safety Jaquan Brisker received second-team All-American honors, while punter Jordan Stout and wide receiver Jahan Dotson took home third-team recognition.

Brisker turned heads all season long as a stalwart on Penn State’s defense. Across 12 regular-season games, he compiled 64 total tackles, six tackles for a loss, five pass breakups, two interceptions, and a fumble recovery. Brisker’s season got off to a jump start when he hauled in a clutch interception against No. 12 Wisconsin on the road.
Dotson, meanwhile, stuffed the stat sheet on the other side of the ball. He posted a career-high 91 receptions for 1,182 yards and 13 total touchdowns, including a rushing score. Dotson also set Penn State’s all-time single-game receiving record with 242 yards when the Nittany Lions topped Maryland.
Heading into what could be his final game at Penn State, Dotson ranks second in program history in career receiving touchdowns (25) and holds the second-place spot for single-season receiving touchdowns (12), all-time receptions (183), and all-time receiving yards (1,182).
On special teams, Stout kept Penn State in a handful of games with his leg alone. Stout leads all punters with 44.8 yards per punt in Penn State history. His longest punt sailed for 76 yards at Wisconsin in September, and he racked up 34 punts inside the opponent’s 20-yard line.
All three of Penn State’s 2021 All-Americans have already accepted bids to the upcoming Senior Bowl, where they’ll attempt to boost their draft stocks a little more. Before then, the Nittany Lions will face No. 21 Arkansas in the Outback Bowl on January 1.
