Penn State Women’s Lacrosse Releases 2022 Schedule

Penn State women’s lacrosse recently announced its full 2022 schedule as the team tries to rebound after a 4-9 season last spring.

Penn State will begin its season on February 16 and face Drexel in Philadelphia. From there, the Nittany Lions will make stops at Duquesne, Cornell, and Loyola before returning to Panzer Stadium.

The first home games of the season will come during spring break as the Nittany Lions will continue their non-conference matchups. First, Penn State will host James Madison on March 9 followed by Saint Joseph’s on March 12.

Doherty’s squad will face Towson on the road and Princeton in Happy Valley before hitting the road to kick off Big Ten play against Ohio State on March 26. Aside from regular conference play, the Nittany Lions will clash with rival Pitt as well as Johns Hopkins during the upcoming season.

Penn State’s schedule includes some heavyweight opponents. Northwestern went undefeated in the Big Ten last season, while both Loyola University Maryland and Maryland finished the year ranked inside the top 10.

The Nittany Lions will have seven home matchups at Panzer Stadium. You can view the team’s full schedule here.
