Penn State Men’s Lacrosse Releases 2022 Schedule

Penn State men’s lacrosse announced its full 2022 schedule Thursday afternoon in preparation for the spring season.

Although Nittany Lions faced just one non-conference opponent in 2021, they’ll match up against a slew of new opponents in this upcoming season.

Head coach Jeff Tambroni’s squad will kick off the season with a three-game home stretch, starting against Lafayette on February 5 at Panzer Stadium. The Nittany Lions will face Villanova and Vermont the following week.

Penn State’s first road game will be against St. Joseph’s in Philadelphia on February 19. Then, the Nittany Lions are scheduled to clash against three Ivy League opponents. First up is Yale at Panzer Stadium, followed by Penn in the Crown Classic in Charlotte, N.C. Finally, Penn State will return home to play Cornell on March 12.

The Nittany Lions’ final non-conference matchup before Big Ten play is scheduled for March 15 against Bucknell. Then, Penn State will face off against five Big Ten opponents throughout March and April. Tambroni will challenge Maryland, Ohio State, Michigan, Johns Hopkins, and Rutgers to close out the regular-season schedule.

With an expanded schedule from last year, Tambroni’s lineup will have plenty of more opportunities to showcase its talent from the senior-heavy team.
