Penn State offensive lineman Anthony Whigan has entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to an announcement posted on his Twitter page Monday night.

“These past three years have been some of the most memorable years of my life,” Whigan wrote online. “Being able to have made lifelong friendships/connections and earn a degree from such a prestigious school like Penn State, I am forever grateful.”

The former four-star prospect transferred to Penn State from Lackawanna College following the 2017-18 season. While at Lackawanna, Whigan was the No. 7-ranked junior college player and No. 1-rated offensive tackle. Once arriving in Happy Valley, Whigan appeared in 21 games over his three seasons as a Nittany Lion, including 10 appearances in 2021.

Once he transfers, Whigan will carry one remaining year of eligibility with his new team.
