Thai Student Association To Host Thai Night February 13

Penn State’s Thai Student Association will host its annual Thai Night on Sunday, February 13, in the HUB’s Heritage Hall. The event will feature performances from the organization’s members, food from downtown’s Cozy Thai Bistro, a photo booth, and more.

The theme for this year’s event is “The Love Spirit of Pattaya,” which pays homage to Pattaya, a city on Thailand’s eastern coast.

“At a cultural event, most people are tempted to come honestly because of foods. Behind the scenes, we are preparing one of our biggest celebrations of the year, which best represents an authentic Thai culture in spectacular ways. Thai Night has been a very special event in its own right, and the atmosphere is incredible,” ThSA Co-President Aida Muneechai said. “I have to stay calm and organized regardless of how excited I am for an eagerly upcoming event. I love the opportunity to wear a fancy costume and throw myself into an amazing event surrounded by the enlightening crowd while getting to learn about great cultural institutions.”

Doors for the event will open at 4 p.m. before the special events begin at 4:30 p.m. Tickets, available online, are required for the event. Tickets will cost $10 for students, $11.50 for children, and $15 for faculty and community members.
