‘Waitress’ To Play At Eisenhower Auditorium March 3

The Center for the Performing Arts at Penn State will bring the hit Broadway musical “Waitress” back to campus for a one-night-only performance next month.

“Waitress” will hit the stage at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, at Eisenhower Auditorium. Ticket prices range from $59 to $70 for adults, $41 to $50 for Penn State students, and $42 to $53 for people 18 and younger. Tickets can be purchased online on the Center for Performing Arts website, in-person from noon to 4 p.m. on weekdays, or by phone at (814) 863-0255.

Based on the 2007 film, “Waitress: The Musical” tells the story of Jenna who is — you guessed it — a waitress and pie-maker who’s longing to get out of her small town and toxic marriage. Looking for ways out, she sees a pie baking contest and its grand prize as her chance.

The musical is scored by Grammy-winner singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles. The production’s current tour recreated choreography that harkens back to its 2016 debut.

More information about the performance can be found here.
