Ever wanted to be a Lionette? Your chance to join Penn State’s dance team is almost here.

In April, the group will host auditions to find stars for its 2022-23 dance team. By filling out an application, you’ll gain access to the tryout itinerary that breaks down all the requirements.

Applicants will need a headshot, proof of acceptance to Penn State University Park or an upcoming semester schedule, a signed and completed physical within the last six months, proof of a sickle cell test, and proof of current health insurance. High school seniors can fill out a separate form.

Applicants should bring all necessary materials to tryout auditions on April 1, where they’ll learn some moves and sit down for a Q&A session before moving on in the process.

The Lionettes will enforce a brief dress code for the application process. Dancers can wear any style and color of athletic wear as long as it has no wording or print depicting any brand or school name.

If applicants are unable to attend auditions in April, they’ll still have the opportunity to audition virtually. Video submissions will be accepted up to March 31.
