SPA To Host ‘Saturday Night Live’ Comedian Mikey Day March 14

Penn State’s Student Programming Association (SPA) will host Saturday Night Live comedian Mikey Day for a free comedy show at 7 p.m on Monday, March 14, in the HUB. Fellow comedian Alex English will open the show.

Day began his SNL career as a writer in 2013 before being promoted to a featured player in 2016 and then a repertory player in 2018. Prior to SNL, he worked with the Groundlings, a Los Angeles-based comedy troupe, and starred in MTV’s “Wild ‘N Out” with Nick Cannon.

In addition to being a comedian, English has been a writer for shows like “The Rundown with Robin Thede” and “The Fix with Jimmy Carr.” He’s also opened for comedians like Michelle Wolf, Roy Wood Jr., and Sam Morril.

Like every SPA event, the stand-up show is free for Penn State students and funded by their student-initiated fee. Before attending, students must register for a free ticket.
