‘State Of State’ Spring Conference Scheduled For March 22

State of State’s annual spring conference is slated to begin on Tuesday, March 22. This semester, it’ll be held from 6 to 10 p.m. at the State Theatre downtown.

This year’s theme, “State of Awareness,” will offer speakers discussing topics affecting Penn State students and solutions to those problems. The conference is centered on the goal of building a strong community and igniting positive change through passionate students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community leaders.

A handful of speakers, including everything from undergrads to Ph.D. candidates to even alumni, will take the stage to discuss topics that are personal to them. Some covered subjects will include menstrual equality, student poverty, sexual violence, and student government.

Admission to State of State’s conference is free, but registration is required to attend. More information about the event can be found on the organization’s Instagram page.
