First Friday Returns To State College April 1

First Friday is returning to State College for the spring and summer seasons and bringing along a full slate of live music, entertainment, and art.

On the first Friday of each month from April until September, the Downtown State College Improvement District will host music acts at the Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza Stage from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Those interested in attending will also have the opportunity to experience after-hours galleries and shops, free food and drinks, and special retail and restaurant specials.

Free parking will be available in the Pugh, Fraser, and Beaver garages with validation from select merchants downtown.

To kick off the First Friday season, Caledonia will take the stage on Friday, April 1. The group, which frequently plays in and around State College, also features local fiddler Daniel Collins.
