Your Guide To UPUA Election Day 2022

Election Day is almost here! Starting at 7 a.m. on Thursday, March 31, Penn State students can head online to vote for their next student government leaders.

For the second year in a row, only one executive ticket for the role of student body president and vice president is on this year’s UPUA ballot. Other candidates are vying for spots as at-large representatives or delegates for their academic colleges.

To find out more information about the candidates and the voting process, check out vote.psu.edu. Keep reading to see our breakdown of the ballot ahead of tomorrow’s election.

Executive Ticket

Najee Rodriguez & Sydney Gibbard

Rodriguez and Sydney are the only executive ticket in this year’s election. Rodriguez previously served as UPUA’s vice president for the 16th assembly, while Gibbard served as speaker of the assembly.

The duo’s platform aims to address important issues at Penn State, including student poverty, sexual misconduct, and administrative transparency.
