[Photo Story] Celebrate Earth Day With A Tour Of Penn State

Happy Earth Day, Penn State!

Earth Day originated in 1970 to demonstrate environmental support through various forms of activism, including using alternative materials, planting trees, or quite literally anything that helps the world be a little greener. Of course, the annual holiday serves as a chance to reflect on the world around us — perhaps in an effort to keep it that way.

Our visual staff has worked tirelessly, capturing snapshots of campus and Happy Valley to show off their beauty through each season. Hopefully, we’ll preserve these views for years to come.

First up, remember fall? Believe it or not, the start of next fall is closer than the start of last fall. Crazy.

Of course, we can’t leave out the photogenic critters who call this region home.

It might be hard to believe with the snow that covered State College on Monday, but winter is (hopefully) behind us now. It sure was beautiful at some points, though.

Fear not! Spring is here, and its flowers aren’t far behind.

Soon enough, the beautiful green that comes with summer will be here, too.

Let’s make Earth Day every day so we can keep campus looking like this, shall we?
