The HUB is once again partnering with Penn State’s Animation Club to showcase the Happy Valley Animation Festival this week.

The Happy Valley Animation Festival is an international animation competition that honors works in three primary categories: animated films, experimental animated works, and animated motion graphics and design. The Digital Arts and Media Design Program hosts the festival.

To start off the Happy Valley Animation Festival, the Penn State Animation Club will host a free “Hullabaloo” from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26 in Heritage Hall at the HUB-Robeson Center.

The following day, the official selections for this year’s festival will debut at the Palmer Museum of Art Auditorium from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The winner’s showcase will be presented from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on April 28 in the HUB’s Heritage Hall. Both showcases will also be available online for viewing.

Starting May 10, the HUB-Robeson Galleries will additionally host an exhibition of animation reels from the Happy Valley Animation Festival until July 17. The HUB’s galleries are free to enter and open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
