Crust & Crumb Cafe Permanently Closes
State College’s Crust & Crumb Cafe has permanently closed after less than two years in business.
No reason for the cafe’s closure was given other than it is now being put up for sale, according to its official social media platforms
“We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all of the guests that frequented our establishment over the past 2 years and supported us through a difficult pandemic…,” the cafe said in an Instagram post. “Our time here has been short, but in some way, we hope we were able to bring something special to the community.”
It appears that the closure is imminent and the business’ last day open was Sunday, May 1. It moved into 115 E. Beaver Ave., the former location of Nosh Cafe & Grill, in fall 2020 and received rave reviews from our staff.
Owned by Penn State alum Amber Winkler, Crust & Crumb’s menu featured the likes of coffees, homemade pastries, and artisanal sandwiches.
