Penn State Hoops Forward Jevonnie Scott To Leave Program

After playing one season in Happy Valley, forward Jevonnie Scott will leave Penn State, the team confirmed Tuesday after initially being reported by 247Sports’ Daniel Gallen.

Scott had a relatively quiet career with the Nittany Lions after transferring from South Plains College. The Toronto, Ontario native only appeared in 11 games with the team due to a number of COVID-19 and injury issues. He finished his season with 1.4 points and 1.6 rebounds per game, all while averaging just 6.5 minutes per game.

Head coach Micah Shrewsberry remained hopeful that Scott would get better as the season progressed, but he never fully blended in with the program after consistently getting into foul trouble.

The departure of Scott will now make room for newly signed Denver transfer Michael Henn, who announced his decision to join Shrewsberry’s squad Monday night.
