Bryce Jordan Center To Undergo Reseating Process Ahead Of Penn State Hoops’ Upcoming Season

The Bryce Jordan Center might look a little bit different when Penn State men’s basketball hits the floor for its season opener this fall.

In an effort to enhance the Nittany Lions’ home-court advantage, the Penn State Athletics department announced its plans to undergo a full reseat for all season ticket locations in support of the men’s basketball program ahead of the 2022-23 slate.

The process, which will be finalized in late August, will force all season ticket holders to select new seats within the arena. Additionally, the student section will be relocated across sections 101L-110L, placing the group directly behind the home and away benches.

“The relocation of the student section will enhance the game-day atmosphere, the student-athlete experience, the Penn State student experience, and the overall fan experience by helping to create an intimidating and raucous environment for opposing teams,” according to a release from Penn State Athletics.

Furthermore, the student section’s cross-court move will make the unit visible to television audiences for the first time since 2014.

While reseating processes are common throughout many collegiate athletic institutions, Penn State cited feedback received from a postseason season ticket holder survey as a main reason for the adjustment.

For non-students, eligible participants must place an initial deposit through Ticketmaster before August 9 to select seats during the reseating process. From there, seat selection will begin on August 23.
