THON Announces Creation Of ‘Giving Society’ Stewardship Program

Penn State THON announced the creation of the “THON Giving Society” Monday morning.

The new stewardship program is designed to show appreciation for individual donors whose contributions reach THON’s defined fundraising benchmarks. The Giving Society’s members will receive physical and virtual benefits and rewards.

Beginning annually on July 1, individual donors who contribute above $1,000 will automatically be enrolled in the society. Members will be eligible for tiered benefits based on their level of contribution.

THON announced three membership levels — Bronze, Silver, and Gold — which all offer unique benefits. In order to be eligible for the bronze level, donors must contribute $1,000 or more. That number increases to $2,500 for the silver level and $5,000 for gold.

Qualifying members of the program will be directly contacted by THON’s development committee.

“The Giving Society is a motivated community of individuals that have a passion for supporting THON and our mission,” THON’s Giving Society webpage reads. “Our hope is that the Giving Society will allow our supporters across the world to witness the impact they have and how the THON community is working to enhance the lives of children and families impacted by childhood cancer.”

For more information about the Giving Society, reach out to stewardship@thon.org or check out the organization’s website. Donations for THON 2023 are already being accepted and can be directed to individual donor drives or THON’s donation website.
