UPUA Launches 2022 Student Sustainability Survey

UPUA recently launched its 2022 student sustainability survey on Monday, August 22.

Isabella Briseno, the executive director of Environmental Sustainability, has been working with Penn State’s Sustainability Institute, as well as faculty in the Colleges of Earth and Mineral Sciences and Liberal Arts, to develop the survey, which has three basic goals.

The survey’s first goal is to receive responses that will allow UPUA to gauge students’ levels of understanding and knowledge of sustainability practices. Following the survey, Briseno and other UPUA members will analyze the data they receive and present it to the student life committee of the Faculty Senate in November, as well as the entire Faculty Senate in January.

The results of the survey and collaboration with other university programs will then help to direct specific sustainability education programs in the future.

Penn State students can follow this link to fill out the sustainability survey via a desktop or a mobile phone. UPUA hopes to get upwards of thousands of responses to its survey and encourages all students to fill it out. Students will have the chance to win a $50 gift card upon completion of the survey, too.

The survey will remain open through November.
