Penn State Women’s Soccer Ranked No. 8 In Week Four Poll

Penn State women’s soccer is back in the top 10 just in time for its conference opener.

The Nittany Lions rose from No. 11 to No. 8 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll, matching their highest position of the season so far.

Erica Dambach’s squad is the second-highest-ranked Big Ten team, trailing only Rutgers (No. 4).

Penn State began the season ranked No. 14 in the poll and racked up three wins and a tie in its first four games. After a loss to Stanford, the Nittany Lions defeated Santa Clara 1-0 to close out their two-game California trip. Most recently, Penn State topped Liberty 2-1 at home on a game-winning goal by Cori Dyke.

Penn State will play its first Big Ten game of the year at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18, on the road against Indiana.
