Penn State Football Jumps To No. 14 In AP Top 25 Poll
Penn State is finally getting some well-deserved respect, folks.
The Nittany Lions climbed eight spots to settle in at No. 14 in this week’s AP Top 25 Poll.
The team is coming off a massive 41-12 victory over Auburn in Jordan-Hare Stadium Saturday afternoon. True freshmen running backs Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen dominated the game on the ground, combining for four touchdowns and 176 yards on 19 combined carries. Penn State’s defense also showed out and forced four turnovers.

Penn State leapfrogs to the No. 14 spot after a decent amount of top 25 teams struggled against unranked opponents Saturday.
Big Ten peers Ohio State (No. 3) and Michigan (No. 4) still remain ahead of the Nittany Lions in the AP Poll.
The Nittany Lions saw some movement in the USA Today Coaches Poll, moving from No. 23 to No. 15. Ohio State and Michigan came in at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively.
James Franklin’s squad will head back home for a matchup with Central Michigan at noon on Saturday, September 24. The game will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.
