First Friday Continues In Downtown State College October 7

State College’s First Friday will continue this Friday, October 7, and bring more music, entertainment, and art to Penn State.

First Friday is a downtown staple in State College, taking place from 5 to 8 p.m. on the first Friday of each month for the rest of this semester. Visitors can gain after-hours access to stores and art galleries along with specials at participating restaurants and retail stores.

According to the Downtown State College website, the event brings a casual atmosphere and “features art, people-watching, milling with friends, shopping, and dining” at downtown restaurants.

Free parking is available in Pugh, Fraser, and Beaver garages “with validation from participating merchants.”

October’s lineup includes the works of Randi Anderson along with light refreshments, an open game night at Master Goblin Games, the Makery Mask Maker celebration starting at 6 p.m. in Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza, a swing party from 6 to 7:30 p.m at Tempest Studios, a Zine making worshiping at Woskob Family Gallery, and a showing of works by the State College Photography Club.

3 Dots Downtown will host music by Samuel Price and offer drinks and other items from JumpHoney Domestic Arts and Gorinto Productions for sale.
