Penn State Men’s Soccer Alum Aaron Molloy Named To USL Championship First Team

Aaron Molloy’s career path just keeps rising.

In his return to the USL Championship league this year, Molloy was named a first-team All-League honoree along with Memphis 901 FC teammate Phillip Goodrum.

Molloy put together a historic 2022 season for Memphis, setting a single-season club record of 10 assists, which also tied him for fourth place across the USL. The Nittany Lion also recorded eight goals en route to Memphis’ second-highest goal total in the league.

Across three years at Penn State, Molloy played in 50 matches, starting in all but one. He recorded 14 goals and eight assists, with nine of those goals coming in 2019.

After leaving Penn State, Molloy played briefly for Portland Timbers 2, who were in the USL Championship at the time. After a brief stint at Forward Madison FC of USL League One, he was transferred to Memphis. His 2022 season with Memphis ended after two postseason matches in the USLC conference semifinals.
