Sean Clifford Named Jason Witten Collegiate Man Of The Year Semifinalist
Sean Clifford may not win the Heisman this year, but he’s still up for some other college football awards.
Penn State football’s quarterback was named a semifinalist for the Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year, an award that recognizes leadership in college football. Clifford is one of 20 semifinalists.
The winner of the award will receive a $10,000 scholarship fund donated to the winner’s school in his name by the SCORE Foundation, the charity of former Tennessee and NFL tight end Jason Witten and his wife Michelle.
Clifford, one of the first four-year captains in Penn State football history, donated $15,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters Centre County. The organization matches kids and teenagers with adults for mentorship and guidance.
The winner of the award will be announced on February 23, 2023, at an award ceremony in Frisco, Texas.
