Tropical Smoothie Cafe To Open In Downtown State College

Move over, Irving’s. There’s (almost) a new smoothie joint in town.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe plans to open a new location under The Maxxen, which is located at 131 Hiester Street, according to a Facebook post.

The Florida-based franchise has over 1,000 locations nationwide and over 25 locations in Pennsylvania, but the location at The Maxxen will be the first in the State College area.

The shop’s menu features a variety of smoothie flavors, including add-ons like collagen, whey protein, and more. Other items like sandwiches, salads, and quesadillas are also available.

The cafe will join two other restaurants underneath The Maxxen: El Jefe’s Taqueria, which opened in May 2021, and Mezeh Mediterranean Grill, which has yet to open.
